Group Therapy

Group therapy involves one or more psychotherapists who lead a group of roughly 5 to 15 patients. Typically, groups meet for an hour or two each week. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only.

  • Women Group

    The goals of the group is for participants to get in touch with and express their feelings, and to become more assertive and autonomous. Group themes center around depression, denial, resistance, and autonomy.

  • Men Group

    The goal of this group is to deal with all issues pertinent to men’s ability to live a successful and productive life. The interactive focus is on self-regulation, impulse control and management of mood states emphasizing positive communication and improved social interaction creating more harmonious relationships.

  • Anger Management Group

    The leading psychotherapist is court certified to provide Anger Management counseling. In this group we discuss and explore the notion that anger is a natural emotion and the actions attached are the problem. Teach outlets and self calming techniques to address aggression.

  • PTSD Group

    Group therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can have various benefits, such as gaining support from others, finding your voice, listening to others’ experiences and learning about their healing processes, and developing social skills rather than isolating oneself.
